The dept of zoology adheres to the values of life, respect for Nature and acquisition of sound knowledge of animal sciences through quality educational practices and research.B.Sc.B.Ed in zoology aims to integrate philosophical and sociological perspectives of education with the subject of Zoology.
This integration equips future educators with not mere in-depth theoretical knowledge but also the ability to critically think and problems solving. The course aims to render professional training in imparting knowledge at School teaching as well as aspire for higher level education and research.
A student-centric teaching-learning pedagogyis applied with is supported by technology. The competencies of students are observed and nurtured in sync with the vision of the college

About Library
The College library was formerly operating from the second floor of the college building. Thanks to the vision of a dynamic leader, the then Principal, Dr. Marian Pinheiro a state-of-the-art three-storied new Library building was constructed and named, in the memory of our patron’s mother, as “HIRABAI VASSUDEV SALGAOCAR LIBRARY.” It was inaugurated on 19 December 2005 by Hon’ble Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, Judge Supreme Court of India. With the generous donation of books, journals, and reports by the founder of the college and the Management, the library could procure rare reports like Kings Bench Reports, and Queens Bench Reports published before the independence of India.
This fully automated library is the first of its kind and is one of the best law libraries in India. The library of V.M Salgaocar College of Law is one of the leading Law Libraries of India and attracts scholars from all over India for Legal Education and Research. The University Grants Commission has recognized the college as a place for legal education and research leading to Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate Degrees in Law.
