About Department
The Marathi department in the college has been active since 2016. It is one of the active and result-oriented departments. The department aims to provide comprehensive knowledge of the Marathi language and literature to students. Through the curriculum, students are exposed to various forms of literature and the tradition of Marathi language and literature. They learn the Marathi language, and Marathi grammar, and develop writing skills for the media. The department covers a wide range of dimensions from ancient to modern literature, striving to impart these aspects to the students.
The department is committed to fostering students’ interest in the Marathi subject and guiding them toward a career in Marathi. It endeavors to enhance students’ liking for Marathi literature and encourage them to understand the interrelation between literature, society, and culture. The department organizes various competitions to promote creative writing skills and conducts different events to nurture talent. Special days such as Marathi Language Day and Reading Inspiration Day are observed to focus on the development of various skills among the students.
Alongside these initiatives, the department organizes various competitions, seminars, and short-term courses to contribute to the overall development of students. The department strives to enrich the student’s overall growth and progress.
