ABOUT GPCOE LIBRARY
All of us know that the library plays a fundamental role in any college and society as well, as its gateway to knowledge and culture. Our Library has a good collection of various disciplines. this library provides books, Journals, Magazines and internet facilities to all the readers of the college. This Library came in the existence since the inception of the college and it is located on the second floor of the building. The library is divided in different sections like reference section, stack area, digital library with internet, back volume section, and reading hall with 60 students seating capacity.
This library also provides current awareness services, photocopy and print copy services for the staff as well as students. This library is fully automated. This library tries its best to provide good services to its readers. The resources and services provided by this library create opportunities for learning literacy and education.
Loan Privileges
- For all students 2 text books and 1 reference book at a time
- For regular teachers 15 books at a time
- For contract and lecture basis teachers 10 book at a time
Infrastructure
Library with true and authentic knowledge
Library was shifted in June 2018 on 2nd floor thereby infrastructural development was taken on priority. With this new development library has a spacious counter, 8 double sided book racks and its seating capacity is expanded to 90 at a time.
Library Collection
The Library collection has reached 6062 books.
Library Automation
The Library is automated and activities like, circulation, (issue / return/ renewal), reservation and information retrieval are done using KOHA application facilitated by Katipo Communications. Bar-coding is done for all the library books.
