Talk on ‘Kabir: Kal, Aaj Aur Kal’

Department of Hindi collaboration with Promoting Academic Excellence Committee organized a Talk on ‘Kabir: Kal, Aaj Aur Kal’ on 30th September, 2026 on occasion of Hindi Day Celebration. Resource person Dr. Bipin Tiwari (Assistant Professor, Shenoi Goembab School of Languages and Literature, Goa University) has mentioned that Kabir appears to be a modern poet because his poetry not only challenges the religious and social orthodoxies of his time but also guides human beings towards rationality, equality, independent thinking, love, and self-realization. His poetry embodies the courage to question and the consciousness to raise a voice against injustice. Therefore, Kabir can be regarded as a poet of the medieval period who embodies modern consciousness.
