TALK ON NATURAL HERITAGE OF GOA: SACRED GROVES AND FLORA
The Department of History of Ganpat Parsekar College of Education, Harmal had conducted a talk on Natural Heritage of Goa: Sacred Groves and Flora on 08th August 2024. The Resource Person for the day was Mr. Rajendra Kerkar, State Convenor, Goa River Conservation Network and Coordinator, Goa Foundation, who spoke to them on the same topic. This program was conducted for the students of F.Y.B.A.B.Ed to make them aware of their environmental, cultural and social surrounding. The programe was attended by Ms. Kavita Nair, head of IQAC and the Principal, Dr.Pandurang Pandit who praised the faculty of History for organising such kind of talks for the students. The program was coordinated by Ms. Gwendolene Elena Nobbay, Assistant Professor in History who also presented the Vote of Thanks. Mr. Gouresh Velip, Incharge and Assistant Professor of History introduced the Resource person and Ms. Mrunali Sawant was also present for the talk. The Comperes of the program were Ms.Kiera Dias and Mr.Velbert Rodrigues and the program was attended by 33 students.
