Shardotsav – Celebrating Saraswati Pujan

Ganpat Parsekar College of Education came alive with vibrant festivities and religious fervor on November 21, 2023, as students, staff, and members of the cultural committee organized ‘Shardotsav’ to celebrate Saraswati Pujan. The event was a true spectacle, showcasing a fusion of cultural traditions, creativity, and devotion.

Saraswati Puja:
The highlight of the celebration was the Saraswati Puja, a traditional worship of the goddess of knowledge, music, and art. The auditorium was adorned with colorful decorations creating a serene and divine atmosphere. Students and faculty gathered to seek blessings and wisdom from Goddess Saraswati.

Dandiya Competition:
The festivities took an energetic turn with a Dandiya competition, where participants in traditional attire engaged in the age-old dance form, bringing forth their enthusiasm and rhythmic skills. The dance floor buzzed with participants and spectators alike, making it a truly spirited competition.

Swaranjali Program:
The higher secondary section of the college presented ‘Swaranjali,’ a musical tribute to the goddess Saraswati. Students showcased their musical talents through various classical and devotional compositions. The melodious tunes resonated throughout the campus and added a soulful touch to the event.

Fugdi by Nursing College:
The nursing college students added a unique touch to the celebration by performing the traditional Goan folk dance, Fugdi. Dressed in vibrant attire, they brought the essence of Goan culture to the forefront, captivating the audience with their graceful movements.

Garba by GPCOE Staff and Students:
To conclude the celebration on a high note, both staff members and students of GPCOE participated in a lively Garba dance. This spirited and colorful performance fostered unity and showcased the rich cultural diversity present at the college.
