‘Read To Inspire’ competition

 

 

The Dept. of English in collaboration with the Library Service committee organised the ‘Read To Inspire’ competition on 11th December, 2023 dedicated to the memory of the esteemed visionary, scientist, and former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

  • Participants had the freedom to choose an excerpt from a book (fiction or non-fiction), an essay, or a speech that deeply impacted them.
  • They had to create a video (maximum 2 minutes) in which they had to provide a review, analysis, or reflection on their chosen text.
  • The emphasis was on how the selected material influenced their lives and how it would have the potential to inspire others.
  • Winners in each language category received attractive prizes as an acknowledgment of their achievements.

In English Category, the First place was won by Divya Pingulkar, the second place was secured by Shubhangi Kanbarkar, and the third place was awarded to Swati Gawas. In Marathi category, the first place was won by Ruchita Rao, the second place was awarded to Siya Purkhe respectively. In the Konkani Category, the first place was secured by Rusy Parab.The event was coordinated by Asst.Prof. Siddhesh S.Raut.
