National Seminar on “Fascinating World of Fungi”

Department of Botany, DCT’s Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Miramar, Goa had organized a National Seminar on “Fascinating World of Fungi”, in association with MycoAsia Journal of Modern Mycology.

Four insightful talks by the experts followed by Hands-on training on 19-20 January 2024. The talks include:
1. “The Fungal World as We Know” by Prof Darbhe Jayarama Bhat
2. “Mycelium: The Wonder of Fungi” by Dr. Seshagiri Raghukumar
3. “How to Identify a Fungal Species?” by Dr. Belle Damodara Shenoy
4. “Applications of Proteomics in Mycology” by Dr. Samir R. Damare.

Our Six students of F.Y.B.Sc.B.Ed Ms. Shreya Kambli, Ms. Krisha Dessai, Ms. Mrunali Chodankar, Ms. Priti Palyeker, Ms. Sneha Mandrekar, Ms. Vaishanavi Mhamal were participated in the seminar along with accompanying teacher Ms. Sushama P. Salgaonkar.
